Was on the way back to hall when I heard this song by The All-American Rejects in the car:

Straitjacket Feeling

Back me down from backing up
Hold your breath now it's stacking up
Etched with marks, but I can deal
And you're the problem and you can't feel
Try this on, straightjacket feeling
so maybe I won't be alone
Take back now, my life you're stealing

Yesterday was hell
But Today I'm fine without you
Runaway this time without you
And all I ever thought you would be,
That face is tearing holes in me again

Trust you is just one defense
Off a list of others, you don't make sense
Beg me time and time again
to take you back now, but you can't win
Take back now, my life you're stealing

Yesterday was hell
But Today I'm fine without you
Runaway this time without you
And all I ever thought you would be
That face is tearing holes in me,

but today I'm fine without you
Runaway this time without you
And all the things you put me through
I'm holding on by letting go of you

And when that memory slips away
There will be a better view from here
And only lonesome you remains
and just the thought of you I fear
grip falls away

Yesterday was hell
But Today I'm fine without you
Runaway this time without you
And all I ever thought you would be
That face is tearing holes in me,

but today I'm fine without you
Runaway this time without you
And all the things you put me through
I'm holding on by letting go of you

I love the lyric as it depicts what I'm feeling right now. And ironically, the song ended just on the second the car stopped in front of my block.

Hey, welcome back to the asylum.
I have unlimited needs.

But sadly, I have a bank account that dries up too fast. *sigh*

In Year 1 Sem 1, Goo Goo Dolls walked me through the stressful exam period; with The Calling and angry Nirvana occasionally.

In Year 1 Sem 2, I studied with Michael Buble's emo songs and switched to Timbaland and Mika when I decided that I should be happy.

Then in Year 2 Sem 1, Switchfoot and Dishwalla were on repeat mode in my iTunes and also Muse when my friend sent it to me towards the end of mugging period.

And now, JASON MRAZ is the only one with me when I try to understand the contradicting FRS or when I attempt to recall what does significant level mean. Haha in fact I've been listening to Jason Mraz for the whole semester eversince I booked the ticket for his concert.

Hmmm I wonder what kinda music will pull me through my final year of uni though. Sarah suggested some Chopin or Tchaikovsky but I guess I'll most probably doze off listening to them. Maybe Phantom of the Opera hurh? XD

Let me know if you have some nice songs that could pull one through the suffocating exam period (=

*&#%^*!&#$ is:
  1. The email that your research project supervisor sent to you two weeks ago went into your junk folder and you never realize it till she sent you another email marked with HIGH IMPORTANCE asking why you never reply to it.
  2. You have a project meeting at 8.30AM on a Saturday in school.
  3. You missed two buses when you're on your way to the bus stop.
  4. You went out and had a nice hair cut and dinner, had your mood lifted up and got into a cab which the driver probably bribe to get his license.
  5. You wanna puke but cant.
  6. The football team that you support loyally all the while shamefully lost 2 games consecutively and risk losing the title of the league.
And to make you feel better and happier, your friend who's on exchange in Denmark decided to be kind and sent you a postcard which he claimed that he specially took it for you when he visited Berlin via MSN:

Thank you friend. Thank you. Please remember to take a picture of Barclays when you're in London.

I'm in love..... with this rice cooker! (=

It's probably one of the coolest rice cooker on earth. It has ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE control and with it, I can cook all sorts of of rice no matter it's white rice, sushi rice, brown rice, mixed rice or glutinous rice! and it also has functions to cook congee, soup, casserole, steam and most important it can BAKEEEEEEEE CAKEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!

Okay, only problem is, I only know how to bake XD. And i probably dont know how to use other functions like cooking soup and stuffs like that. But never mind, I'm sure my neighbour, WenNi who's been feeding me with Bah Kut Teh and desserts will figure out a way to use it (=

I hope my mum doesnt kill me when I call her later and tell her the price of it. Or someone nice would want to get it for me as my birthday present? *Hint Hint* I can bake for you! It's only $169 and look at what kinda magic I can do with it wei!!!!!! (=

Alright, I think I should stop here. Before someone thinks that this blog belongs to some auntie =P Damn, I think even Karen Cheng doesnt brag about how good her rice cooker is in her blog. Why am i so auntie? Sigh. See this is what Singapore do to me mummy.

Because time waits for no one and the way I'm procrastinating right now really scares me.

Someone slaps me please.

I need..... to be reminded of how it feels to wake up in the morning and has got nothing scheduled for the day. No project meetings, no deadlines to meet, no meeting with professors, no irritating CCAs, no obligation to pretend that I'm happy with everyone.

I miss those days spent shopping around Bangsar with the girls and the high teas, those days we fight with the boys at foosball table and shouting for Man Utd at the mamaks, those days we wake up extremely early in the mornings despite sleeping in late because of the parties the night before just to satisfy our cravings for dim sum and the random roadtrips that we make to Malacca or Penang (=

Oh and the smell of banana chocolate chip muffins from the oven, pressing the digestive cookies into crumbs and beating the cream chees until fluffy. Damn, I NEED TO BAKE.

Just one month. One more month till I'm done with all the shits here and go home (=

And on a happier note, my Korean roomie cooked kimchi fried rice and some Korean roll egg last night! The fried rice is yummy (yes, i love kimchi =D) and I forgot to take a picture of it cause I was too hungry and I couldnt resist the smell of KIMCHI! Hmmm I shall just get the recipe to make kimchi from her I think. Heh.
